The variety of classroom settings we are faced with, including recorded and virtual lessons, bring new challenges. Now, more than ever, the puppets have had to step up to the job! The stories, felts, and manipulatives are an asset as well as lively Power Point Visuals. Find what will be fun for you! Lynn Kleiner is a frequent clinician for AOSA, NAfME and NAEYC. International teaching for Orff and Music organizations include Taiwan, Korea, Australia, Malaysia, ISME and more. |
Lynn founded Music Rhapsody, in 1983, in response to drastic cuts to California music programs. Lynn has an award winning line of Remo instruments and Alfred books/CDs and offers teacher training, resources and membership program. Lynn has been a proud member of the Los Angeles Chapter of AOSA since 1983.

VIA ZOOM/10AM Matthew Stensrud Playful Procedures: Using Responsive Classroom to Enhance the Schulwerk Come discover how consistent routines, a strong classroom community, and opportunities for exploration and play enhance the wonder of Orff Schulwerk and instill the ideals of Responsive Classroom in our music making. Matthew Stensrud is an award-winning Orff Schulwerk certified educator and currently teaches PK-4 music and movement at Sidwell Friends Lower School in Washington, DC. Matthew is a teacher educator of movement, teaches levels at the Portland Orff course and is a member of The Orff Echo Editorial Board. You can find him on social media as @mistersorff. |

From Fred Rogers to Carl Orff, the art of child’s play has been recognized as the “work” of children. Jump, dance, and sing your way through new and old playground games gathered from West Virginia and Pennsylvania. Consider the value of children’s play, where to find it, and how to make adaptations for your own classroom.
Martina Vasil is Assistant Professor of Music Education and Director of the Modern Band, Orff Schulwerk, & Dalcroze Summer Institute at the University of Kentucky. She also teaches music PreK–6 at Lexington Montessori School. Martina is on the editorial board of The Orff Echo and is past president of the Kentucky Orff-Schulwerk Association.

Directions to PCM from Hollywood, the Westside, and the Valley:
Take the 134 Freeway East until it merges with the 210 Freeway East. Take exit 27 toward Hill Avenue. Stay straight onto Corson Street. Turn right onto N. Hill. PCM is on the left. If you hit Colorado, you went too far. From Orange County and the South: Either take the 405 Freeway North to the 10 East to the 110 North to the 5 North to the 2 North to the 134 East or the 5 Freeway North to the 2 North to the 134 East and then follow the directions above. |
